Whew, finally sat myself down in front of the old computer. Without the school's T3 connection, I don't really feel inclined to go online too much. So my first year's down, that's good. I had a fun time overall. Man, it was like one big long camping trip, basically. Last quarter I got GPA of 3.15, and now my cumulative GPA is 2.96. Not too good, but considering all the time and effort I spent on school, I should be relieved.

So far, I have learned some important things at college. First of all, this year I learned for the first time, how to play Street Fighter. Everything I used to think I knew I had to throw out the window and just retrain myself hardcore. But my skills, I think, have improved substantially. I also learned that there are still plenty of BS courses that teach BS information. Well, at least the introductory classes are full of BS. Like sociology, for one. That was one of the stupidest classes I've ever taken; I don't know how I woke up at 8:40AM three days a week just to sit passively in class daydreaming about new Sentinel stomp tactics. It wouldn't have been that bad a class if the TAs didn't grade like fools... but they did, demonstrating once and for all that fools who take common sense classes too seriously lack common sense, and are punklickers to boot. Hmm. I also wasted time with a couple of useless "Freshman Seminar" classes, worth 2 creds each. Oh well. At least they were like once a week and very little work.

I took 4 English classes this year (well, one was Comparative Lit, almost the same thing). Those English classes were my only A's this whole year (psht, besides those BS 2 credit Freshmen Seminars, which I don't really count). Let's see, I got an F in math during winter, which sucked. Hopefully I'll be more focused and into the numbers next quarter.

What else? Crusade was tight. I met many people and made some good friends. Had good chilling out times and stuff, all that jazz yeah. It was definitely a highlight and Crusade's one of the things I'm looking forward to Fall Quarter.

I guess you could say that my first year of college changed my lifestyle. I got used to having T3 and downloading tons of crud. I got used to living without a TV (which may have been a good thing, or else Sam and I might have been playing MvC2 and CvS2 even more than we already did). I got used to sleeping late, too. Usually I'd sleep somewhere around 12:30AM-1:30AM. Once in a while, I would sleep around 3AM and this one time I stayed up for no really good reason until 4:30AM, just sitting and watching anime I downloaded (of course, when I woke up my roommate Danny was still snoring, despite having gone to sleep hours before me; that dude is a phat sleepyhead). I also started listening to a bunch of music. Just downloading a lot of stuff, sampling different styles and different bands. I got my new computer in October; when I moved back home two weeks ago, I had 141 hours of music, about 2100 MP3s. And then there's all the anime I downloaded (Love Hina, which I deleted after watching it all, all of Escaflowne including the movie, Grave of the Fireflies, Ninja Scroll, both Evangelion movies, Gundam 08th MS Team movie, and some more stuff), a bunch of anime music videos, over a dozen normal music videos, the Spider-Man movie, Fight Club, and countless Street Fighter combo vids and tournament footage files. Man. I need to start burning files and clearing some hard drive space.

I really like stories. I want to write some stories some day. I have two really epic storylines in my head right now.

Peace out, everyone. I'm gone. At least until I get back to San Francisco tonight.

First year of college, almost finished. I think I'll write up my profound thoughts regarding my experiences. But maybe later. I'm a bit too lazy for extensive writing right now.
